Susan Quirke – Creative Director
BA (Hons), MAPM, ABIDA, AIIDA, RIDipl, RIBA
Susan is a qualified Designer & Project Manager with a background in psychology & project management and has worked for many years both in the UK & Ireland in prestigious Architectural & Design practises. Susan has worked in the dual role of designer & project manager on many high profile projects.
Before setting up QMC she has worked on a variety of high profile commercial projects from award winning retail such as Jil Sander flagship Burlington Gardens, Calvin Klein (Bond St), Mulberry (New Bond Street) as well as a variety of entertainment & Museum design projects such as Hush bar London & City Hall Museum Dublin.
Since setting up QMC Susan has been featured in many design magazines for her cutting edge modern design style. Her passion for glass & lighting have seen her being short-listed & winning prestigious design awards. She was named Interior designer of the future in January 2006 for her high quality individual design style.
Susan also lectures within Design Colleges on the principles of Project Management & professional practice.
Patrick McNamara – Technical Director
(BSc, MRICS, MAPM, ASCS)
Patrick McNamara is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor as well as a member of the Association of Project Managers & has many years experience working within the Construction industry. Patrick has worked for many years in Construction management as well as working for the top Cost Consultancy companies both in the UK & Ireland. He is a construction expert having worked on numerous prestigious projects ranging from swimming pool & spa complexes, hotel projects to tall office buildings in the city, urban generation projects and a wide variety of high-end residential projects.
Patrick as Technical Director within QMC works closely with specialists such as Engineers and specialist lighting systems as well as being responsible for the overall management of the construction process and all technical elements from furniture design development to electrical & lighting installations, health & safety and final installation.
Patrick is also an author having co-written the SMM7 Explained & Illustrated, which is the first & only practical companion to the Standard Method of Measurement of Building work and is endorsed by the RICS Construction Faculty.
