QMC design to bring out the full potential of a space. During the design process QMC evolve a design in line with the client’s needs, aspirations and budget. From initial brief to concept & design development QMC work to find solutions to problems and develop a design that best suits a space both technically and aesthetically. Through the addition of specialist design elements such as bespoke lighting, artwork & furniture design we compliment the overall design.

Interior Architecture:

Interior Architecture involves the manipulation of space, which can have structural implications and involve permissions from both Local Authorities & Landlords. QMC designed alterations have involved forming fire escapes, building internal rooms, wet room design, extending mezzanine floors, adding additional floor space and creating free standing structures.

This involves dealing with Local Authorities gaining permissions for proposed works, working with specialists in design development, commission & management of contractors during the construction period as well as management of council signoff and working closely with the client at all stages of the project to ensure total integration of all their needs & complete budget and time management.

Interior Design:

QMC interior design involves the selection of products & materials, which best compliment the space. We research and source high quality products, which are functional and can be incorporated into the project bearing in, mind the site limitations. Often due to space considerations QMC bespoke design items, which fit perfectly with the overall surroundings. QMC work with innovative materials such as glass, leather, stainless steel and specialist lighting to create modern creative solutions for the space.

QMC specialise in “Bachelor Pad” design working with products such as leather having commissioned leather floors, walls etc, glass: glass cladding/glass floors, Steel walls/water-features etc to create unique ultra-modern interiors for style conscious clients. QMC work with specialist lighting & control systems for multi-room sound systems, home cinemas & general intelligent systems design adapting technology to your individual lifestyle.

QMC's design for a flat in Central London was featured on "Men's Rooms" in November where Susan Quirke Creative Director explained the key aspects of creating a masculine space. This space was designed using the mediums of glass, leather & specialist lighting.
The series was 15 episodes long on Discovery Real time from May to November 2005.

QMC use lighting to transform & enhance spaces creating moods and features through the use of specialist lighting. QMC work with the specialist manufacturers of fibre optics, cold cathode and LED lighting.

QMC combine task and specialist lighting to create flexible solutions to suit the clients needs. QMC use lighting to enhance & compliment the overall design. QMC work with specialist lighting manufacturers & provide a bespoke design service in regards to lighting to ensure that each design is complimented by the lighting scheme. QMC project manage the complete lighting installation. We also enhance our lighting schemes with lighting control systems such as Lutron systems to allow for scene setting & mood control.

QMC were short-listed for the prestigious IDFX/BIDA British Interior Design Awards in the category of Lighting Design of the year 2004.

Bathrooms & Kitchen Industry Awards 2006:
Susan Quirke was a finalist in the highly prestigious Bathrooms & Kitchens Industry awards 2006 in the category of "young designer award for kitchens".

QMC provide a project management service from receiving the clients requirements, undertaking a feasibility study, tendering for Contractors, advising on the selection through to the appointment of professional skills. QMC manage the entire process from appointment through to the management of on –site installation. QMC provide a complete aftercare service on each project.

QMC work closely with the client at every stage of the project to ensure their needs are met in all aspects of the project.

QMC provide an integrated furniture design service from designing bespoke furniture pieces to complete storage solution design. QMC bespoke design as many items as possible within our projects so the client is assured that their interior is individual as they are. QMC have designed storage systems to house plasma screen TV’s/bathroom storage, bespoke furniture etc.

QMC work with reliable Contractors who we have built up a reputation with thus ensuring that the service & finish on a project is of a very high standard. By using these firms QMC can ensure quality, care & respect on each project that we undertake. By integrating the service of Project Management QMC ensure that each stage of the project is quality controlled & take the worry out of the entire process for the client.

QMC work on landscape designs, customising external spaces to allow these spaces to fit around our Client’s lifestyle. External spaces particularly urban spaces such as apartment terraces should not be overlooked. QMC blend external spaces with internal spaces to compliment each other. Zen gardens, artistic sculptures, water features serve to create a sanctuary in a busy urban setting.

QMC also use specialist lighting in external spaces such as fibre-optic & LED lighting to highlight key features or to simply illuminate the space for a social setting.
