Quirke McNamara Consultancy are an Architectural & Design practise working on both residential & commerical projects in the UK & abroad.
We undertake full refurbishments as well as interior design services. We provide a full service from dealing with planning and all permissions, all technical drawings, lighting design, stairs design, landscape design, bespoke joinery and project management services as well as Contractor comission.
We are Architectural designers where our focus is on remodelling the space rather then decoration. Our jobs range from redesign of new bathrooms and kitchens to redesign of overall houses adding extensions and attic space as well as bespoke design of seating and cinema rooms.
Our portfolio shows a sample of our work. We work with the client to create a personal space to them.
We work in all areas of London, UK & abroad
Design Process:
QMC provide an integrated design service specialising in Architectural remodelling and lighting design.
We are technical designers and aim to create a unique space for each client. We are generally commissioned to provide a design, lighting and overall project management service but we can also provide individual elements such as Audio Visual, Lighting, bespoke furniture or planning permissions as stand-alone services.
Commissioning a designer can see daunting so we aim to set out the steps below. Many clients who come to us haven't worked with a designer before and we aim to make the experience as fun and clear as to how to work together in a successful relationship to get the interior you want to achieve.
- 45 minute initial complimentary consultation to discuss your project and scope of works
- Once we have seen the space and understand your requirements we can undertake a fee quote. This will encompass the elements that you want us to provide such as overall integrated service from inception to completion or maybe just concept design or lighting design. This is all client driven and we need to understand all your requirements so that we can put this together clearly
- Once commissioned fees will be drawn down in stages and the initial fee allows us to undertake a survey of the space and discuss in more detail your requirements for each area
- Initial concept design- we present you with the initial concept for each space integrating the space plan, materials, lighting, bespoke elements etc.
- Revisions to the initial concept to make sure we are working exactly to your brief
- Overall detailed drawings and scope of works for Contractor and trades to price and programme of works to be put together
- Commission of Contractor on agreement of final pricing
- Liaison with Building Control or other council members such as fire officer, conservation etc.
- Management of all works on site linking all trades and installation elements to create a cohesive scheme
- Furniture & fittings sourcing re final decorative element
- Final snagging and sign off from client
- OM manuals and drawings so client has reference re all materials, colours, electrical
- Maintenance of any elements i.e. planting or future decorations etc.
The whole process is driven by the client's budget, style and wants and needs. Clients should not feel like they are being forced into any decisions. We want our clients to feel comfortable that we will deliver an interior that suits their needs and is individual to them. QMC provide a friendly very approachable and hands on service which is why we have clients recommending us to other family members and friends once they have used us
Please contact us to discuss your project requirements whether one room or a whole house we will discuss same with you and help you find a creative solution.
Flat furnishing & Decoration service:
Many of our clients have purchased new build flats and need help with the general furniture and fittings. We work with our clients to produce a scheme for them to provide all furniture and decorative elements such as feature lighting, speakers, blinds and curtains, bed linen and mirrors as well as the overall colour scheme and any features such as wallpaper, digital wallpaper or a dramatic illuminated wall or even a luxury leather wall feature.
QMC put together the scheme for our clients after discussing their taste and style and manage the overall works making sure all elements are space planned correctly and we manage the delivery and fitting on site to allow our clients to move into a stylish complete flat.
Whether its a special piece our client is sourcing or a tv unit that we have bespoke designed or a whole furniture package our design team can oversee all elements to suit the clients budget and timescale.
